The “Associative Contract“
For BD practitioners to be able to learn more about biodynamic agriculture, apply BD preparations consistently to their garden or farm, as well as to support the BDAAI, we have created an “Associative Contract”.
Our “Associative Contract” is an idea, which is borrowed from the economic concept of Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) and especially from the Josephine Porter Institute. Traditionally, the CSA concept encourages urban and rural people to share responsibility for where and how their food is produced. The CSA is a partnership between agricultural producers and consumers – away to financially support an agricultural organization. You become a participant not just a consumer. The BDAAI has adopted this concept: Any biodynamic practitioner may contract to support the yearly work of the BDAAI, by paying a corresponding fee at the beginning of the season based on acreage level appropriate to his or her situation, and in turn the BDAAI agrees to support the health of the plants you grow and the health of the planet by providing biodynamic preparations, and farm/garden advisory service plus BDAAI Membership and reductions at events.
What will you receive? ·
The BDAAI will provide annual consultation service. · The BDAAI will post the biodynamic preparations one posting in the spring and one in the autumn. · Discount for additional preparations.
The BDAAI will also customize the spring and autumn posting to meet the specific needs of the individual BD practitioner (with contract fee negotiated accordingly) ·
Preparations include the following (based on customary usage of preparations): Spring: 1 set BD Compost Preps (502-507) for each 5 acres or less 1 unit Horn Manure BD 500 per acre and Barrel Compost accordingly 2 units Horn Silica BD 501 Autumn: 1 set BD Compost Preps (502-507) for each 5 acres or less 1 unit Horn Manure BD 500 per acre and Barrel Compost accordingly.
Backyard Gardner’s: With paid up membership of the BDAAI and cultivation of up to 1 acre, can avail of this offer by an additional payment of 25 € (100 € in total.)
Market Gardener's and Larger Farm Operations: Preparations beyond the 5 acre level will be calculated at 25% of the retail price plus actual posting costs so visit the office and pick the preps up your self… by subscription to 2 acre we include the BDAAI Membership! (includes the Star and Furrow Magazine plus 6 Newssheet’s plus reduction at events) Acreage Level

ASSOCIATIVE CONTRACT BETWEEN BDAAI AND CONTRACTEE:
