The BDAAI exists to promote and foster the biodynamic agricultural impulse founded by Rudolf Steiner as a result of his Spiritual Scientific Research.

Membership is open to everyone interested in learning about, working with, developing or supporting this unique form of organic husbandry.

A newsletter is published 4 times a year and the british journal “the Star and Furrow” published twice yearly is available free to members together with a quarterly newsletter.

A wide range of books is on sale and a members library exists. The association also arranges conferences and hosts workshops. The current subscription rates are € 50 per year and € 30 for students and senior citizens

The Association's main objectives are twofold. Firstly we seek to develop, promote and disseminate knowledge of the Bio-dynamic methods inaugurated by Rudolf Steiner for the betterment of farming and gardening: secondly, we wish to support and promote the work of the DEMETER Standards Company in Ireland.

MEMBERSHIP Membership of the Association is open to anyone interested in supporting the development of Bio-dynamic agriculture. The membership application form below contains details of current fees. Duly completed forms should be returned to the Association secretary, together with fees. Any contributions above these rates to the running of the Association will be gratefully received. Payment should be by cheque, postal order or banker's draft, made payable to the Bio-dynamic Agricultural Association in Ireland (B.D.A.A.I.) Subscriptions run from January to December of each calendar year.

The Bio Dynamic Agricultural Association of Ireland hold two conferences every year in spring and autumn. The Biodynamic Planting Calendar can be bought from the office. We also sell books on bio-dynamics and have a member’s library, from which you can borrow books on Bio-dynamics. We produce four Irish newsletters a year and you will receive four British newsletters plus two Star & Furrows per year. Membership is € 55 per annum.
